Week 10

Semel Dagen
This week was “Semel Dagen”.  This year is was  on  Tuesday 11th March.  It is a Swedish tradition and almost everyone eats “semlor”.That is a cake with bread, whipped  cream, almond paste and powdered sugar. You can eat “semlor” in different ways for example plane with nothing on it or you can eat it with warm milk but both are really good. They are really messy. You celebrate Semel Dagen 40 days before Easter on a Tuesday.

The bridges are supposed to be 50cm long and 10cm wide they are also supposed to be able to hold 10 kilo.
On Thursday the 6th of March, we made art! We made half-portraits of our Selves.
We made half of our faces and to the left we wrote our names. We also went on website to get help. First we folded the paper in 8 pieces. Than we did line by line. That was our sketch then we made another on that was nicer and neater.

NTA PROJECT

This week in science we started a NTA project, known as the big blue box. We got a bunch of small pieces that we were going to build a vehicle of it. Here is someone's vehicle

And here is the pieces that we were allowed to use.

VECKANS KLURRING
This week in Swedish we got 2 word problems. The first one was about four sports car owners
and their cars. You were supposed to figure out their whole name, type of car and car colour. The second one was about two painters called Svensson and Bengtsson who were painting a room together and you needed to figure out how long time it would take.

                                     !¡Badminton¡!
Badminton is a game where you play with a feather and not a ball. You have to rackets and it's the fastest ball ( in this case a feather ) sport in the world. Alex and I high score in passing each other was 34!!!!! It was really fun playing badminton.

Why it is Good to Read

This week we did  a collage that is when you have an old newspaper or a comic book and you cut out what you like and glue it on a paper. So what we did was we cut out words or letters to make words and pasted them on the paper. We had to answer the question why is it good to read.

Sewing Monday 3rd March

This Monday the sewing group sewed our sewing bags. Sewing bags are for putting our finished and un-finished work inside. This week more people finished their sewing bags while some other people did not finish. Hopefully in the following few weeks everybody will be finished.
