NO/TK: Read about Leonardo Da Vinci. Build your own ornithopter and or parachute. Write your thoughts as you build ( in sentences please)!
MA: Graphing: Time your ornithopter/parachute how long it takes until it lands on the ground. Try 5 times and write your times down on a piece of paper. Then make a bar graph of your results. Optional: What was the range? What was the average time?
ENGML: Reading 20 minutes 3 times
Students chose their own spelling list with words they think they need to work with. On Thursday May 15, they will be pairing with a friend to have a spelling test. I suggest students do at least 3 of the following with their lists before the 15th. You can of course do more.
1. Write each word 3-5 times each neatly printing or in cursive. Circle the neatest
2. Write the wordlist in alphabetical order
3. Write each word in a sentence.
4. Write each word circle then cut out letters from a newspaper or magazine to form each word.
5. make your own word search.
6. Take a spelling test at home.
7. Type out your words on your ipad or computer without copying and pasting!
8. Write a sentence with each word, each word beginning with a letter from your word.
9. Make a rhyme or song with all your words.
10. Time yourself when you write a word. Try it 5 times. What was your best time for each word? What was your average time?

Maths: multiplicatiom and dvision. Everyone should have received a game board to play with. I do not want them back. You'll need 1 die and markers. Move the pieces the remainder after dividing.

English-We are working with interviews. This week, students need to write at least 8 thought provoking questions to ask a family member. The interviews are not part of this week's homework. Students may think about who they'd like to interview.
Swedish/English-Reading
For Monday's class meeting!!! Read through the rules and consequences both for school and the football field with your parents. Talk about what they mean to you. The papers you should read and talk abotu have been sent to your parents' emails.

Biology: If you haven't completed your research for the Body project. You may look for information at home.
You received a small box on Friday. It is very important that you do not lose the box! Your task is to decorate the box. Inside you will put something inside that has been handmade by you at home. The boxes will be part of our gift giving on the 16th December with class 1B at 8:45-9:40. Remember it needs to be handmade and suitable for either a first grader or a fourth grader. It may not actually be for your buddy that you are usually with. It is due in school on Monday 16th December.
Finishing work that you may not have finished in another subject.
