Week 7

This Thursday at 12:00 we walked to "stadsbiblioteket" which is one stop away from Odenplan.
When we were there was a girl who told us a bit about different books. All of them were pretty interesting. Heres one book she talked about. Hugo, Stella, Felix, Ella, and Alex are reading it and they really  think it is good.

What's happening at the library during week 9

This week In woodwork we had group work. We were supposed to make bridges that could hold 10 kg or more. Here is some examples. This is a finished one That Tård made and one of ours.

We were aloud to use any materials and tools.  They should be 10 cm wide and 50 cm long. Wood is the main material everyone used. After building the main structure you added things like hand rails and extra details. Last step is to paint.

Every week our class gets 5 minutes for a multiplication time test. Some weeks we do 1 - 2 and other weeks we even have 2 - 3. Our first time test was time Stage C, and Hillary said we were gonna go up to stage L. You have to get 49+ out of 50 to get to the next and harder time test. This means that almost everybody are on different time tests. About a week after we do the tests we get them back with the results and get to know if we get to do the next time test. We have had tons of fun and we have learned lots from these time tests.

The case of the rotten apples

Our teacher reads us a book that's about a crime and every student is the judge. Every student gets a paper that you can take notes of the story to see who is telling the truth. After the story you get a paper and on that you can write who you think is the one that's telling the truth. When your done with that you leave in the paper and she reads them. Then a few days later our teacher tells us the answer.

                                                                    Gym
At gym we had shoe-bandy, you have a shoe in your hand and you pass, shoot and dribble. We had a other side where we pass with normal bandy clubs. The shoe. Bandy was weird and hard and fun. The passing was normal and easy and at Friday we played a bandy match.

It's Valentine's Day!

Valentine’s day

On the 14th of February you celebrate Valantines day. Many people celebrate by exchanging cards giving flowers and giving candy to each other.

Did you know that nearly 150 million are exchanged on Valentine's day.

Or that more than 40 thousand Amercicans are employed at choclate companies.

                                                                       Sewing

This sewing lesson we used the sewing machine. We made "bags" with our initials on it. We got to choose colour on the "bag" but Agneta chose the fabric.

1. First we had to cut out 110 cm on the long-side and 35 cm on the short side.

2. Choose the right colour thread (same colour as the fabric) and sew in zigzag.

There are more steps but it will take up a lot of space.
