Week 35 2013

We are the blog group. Our names are Jesper, Molly and Alex. Emma was sick today.

On Monday in the gym this week we ran "klassikern" that was 4 kilometers long.In the end you were really tired if you ran the whole way. But it was also fun. On the same day we had woodwork and sowing. In woodwork we carved sticks. In sowing we did name tags for books.

On Tuesday we started with Swedish. Then we had math. In the afternoon we started with bug presentations.

On Wednsday we got our DLR (Daily language reivew). Since we got it on Wednsday we had do Monday, Tuesday and Wednsday, but it was still easy. In DLR (daily language review) we have to do stuff like correct sentences and pick out the  right word from a selection of words.

On Thursday we had bild with Katarina were we got an item and we had to make an advertisement, it was fun but also quite hard. 

On Friday, we got to decide our students choice. Our choices were art, exiting animals, drama and stories, Greek gods and board games .

Next week teachers and parents are meeting on Monday the 2nd of September at 18:00 in the classroom. On Wednesday the 4th of September is hagapark day. Everybody has to bring packed lunch and dress for the weather.

Welcome to 4B

We are now 4B at Johannes school in Stockholm. The reason we are the B class is because B stands for "Bilingual". In our class there are 23 students, 9 girls and 14 boys. We have moved up to the top floor, where grade 6 was last year. 

Some classmates have moved and went to other schools and the ones who have moved are Grace, Jennifer, osci, Zoe and Leo. But it has also started three new classmates called: Alec, Vera, Ella and then we have Emilia who jumped off the Swedish class and joined the bilingual class.😃

 

We have just started middle school wich has given us more and new responsobilities such as to right the newsletters with the people at your own table. 

Classroom It's a bit of a pain to walk up all the steps during the days since we are on the top floor. There are 91 steps. Almost all of the furniture is new. The classroom is even bigger and it seems bigger than our classroom last year in grade 3. We use 9 ipads, 4 laptops connected to the internet and 2 laptops that aren't. 

Schedule Everyday we start school at 8:20 except for Thursdays. On Thursdays we have a sleep in morning so the teachers can have a meeting. It takes some time to get used to the new schedule. Gym days are Mondays and Fridays. Music is on Wednesdays. Handicrafts is on Mondays too. This year we have 3 recesses. We have the extra recess because we now have longer days. 

The new schedule is confusing to get into, but is very good. The earliest we get out is 13:00. The latest we get out is 15:20. We start at 08:20 every morning. Except Thursdays, then we start 09:00. We have lunch at 11:20 every day. We have recess at 09:40-10:00, 11:40-12:20 and 13:40-14:00 every day except13:40-14:00 on Tuesdays and Fridays because we end much earlier those days.

Subjects  

We have a new music teacher. He is called Tohmas. On our first music lesson this week he taught us one song it was an African song he told us a bit about what we will be doing this year. The music room is at the very top of the school and inside there are there lots of guitars, big drum set and a piano.

Teachers 

in class 4b we learn many things for example math, Swedish, English, so/no, art, music, elevensval, and gym.                                                                            

Our teachers are awesome. Their names are Hillary and Katarina. They are our main teachers. Tord and Agneta are our handicrafts teachers. Monika is our gym teacher. Agnes helps us sometimes but she will leave soon because she is pregnant.

Our teachers in fritids klubben are Mi, Hanna and Anders. They are really nice and we do fun things after school. 

Fritids Klubben    We have started in "fritidsklubben" this year 😃. On "fritidsklubben" we have lots of fun games like pool, table tennis, and Xbox 360. They still haven't opened the doors to the room with Xbox 360. 

Fritids klubben" you are  aloud to eat which time you ever whant. We get to eat sandwich and juice mmm yammy👍. You get to use you'r phone , watch at tv on Fridays and they have computers that everyone from 4-6 grade are aloud to use.

Every Friday we have luxury melis. If we are nice then we get kanelbullar or even a chocolate donut. On Fridays where also aloud to watch a movie that begins at 14:10. We have a crafts room there you can draw make things like paper  airplanes. The great thing with the club is your aloud to do things that you’re not allowed to do at break and lessons. We have a pool game and soccer game to a table tennis and lots of other things to do. We have a room where you can relax and just chill out with al you’re friends and read JAAA

So we think 4th grade is soooooo much better then 3rd grade.
