Week 50

Yesterday the hole class made stockings and we hang them up. 

It is easy to make them

1. Take an odd sock and wash it

2. Decorate it with watever suites you for example gliter, paper, ribens and, recycled fabric!!!

3. Hang your decorated sock on the chimney or a post board (like you can see in the picture)!

4. And wait for Santa!!!!!!!

Week 49

On Monday we had gym and we had "samarbetesövningar".On Tusday we had a chess leson and we keep on doing our chess tornement. The old schack 4an trophy looks like this

.On Wednesday we had music and we watched a dance called scissor dance.

On Thursday we had a big meeting al the 4th graders are not alowed to play on the fotboll field.  On Friday we have finished our texts about how we think that others think about us. In handicrafts we made whisks.

On sewing we made aprons and we crocheted. 

On Saturday it is the bazar and we have the café and lottery.

We have a  grading system that looks like this. We need to learn the grading system so we are prepared for our real grades when we are in 6th grade. 

Week 48

This week  we went to the church with our buddies and celebrated first advent. In sewing we made aprons and croched. In woodwork we made metal hooks. In chess we started a tournament for practice. It's 2 out of three matches. If you win 2 matches you have to mark that you won. In gym we had gymnastics we jumped on trampolines and did 180 and 360 jumps Our goal was to see if you could do 720. We are also listening to Hillary read The diary of  Anne frank.

Week 47

On Monday we had gym and we made a obstacle course. It was very fun we had sowing 

And we did bags  for our stuff. In woodwork we made hooks. 

We had a long discussions about getting along and using good language. We all swear but it's when where you use it. You shouldn't swear at people. 

 In geography we're making the map of Sweden. We're drawing it and colouring it too. 

There's only 4 weeks left of school.

Week 46

This week we started unpacking chess stuff and clocks.

This week in music we got to know who won some MTV awards like Katy perry won best female artist and Justin Beiber best male singer. Beyoncè won best live performance and Bruno Mars won best song with Locked out of heaven. Miley Cyrus won best music video with wrecking ball. Green day won as best rockband and One Directon won best pop band. 

During science, we are working on learning more about the body parts and different organs.  We were working with our videos and some groups are already done. We used the app puppet pals two and other things.

During art we worked with making small things large. Some finished making the edge of Sweden and next week we are making the landscapes and lakes.

At students' choice called  Eco Crafts.... we made some small boxes!

On Thursday we had chess with Ingvar and it was great fun! We are going to participate in the 4th grade Chess tournament in March.

Week 45

Week 45

Welcome back after Halloween! It's really dark now in the mornings and when we leave school. 

This week we had new groups for students choice. There are four groups and those are eco crafts, art, femous people in science, and the seven wonders of the world. 

In art, we practiced doing self portraits and some of them turned out pretty funny.  In eco crafts, students made boxes from recycled cereal boxes. Students made models of the seven wonders of the world. 

We had 4B's got Talent. We saw some magic tricks by Oscar, Alex and Maximus. And Alec and Isak played songs on their guitars. 

It was a great week!

Week 43

This Friday we are having Halloween. We made some decorations like this!

We made our own research center called JIRC. (Johannes International Reasearch Center). We had to bring a big white T-shirt for a lab cote.

This week on Monday we had gym and woodwork. In gym we had high jump. In woodwork we had a finishing of lesson. We had to finish unfinished work and if we were finished with everything we got to make anything we want. 

 Tuesday we had a completely normal day. 

On Wednesday it was getting close to Halloween. 

This Thursday it was UN day. We had an assembly in the aoudotorium.  The choir sung different songs about peace. Some people even told poems. 

This Friday it's finally Halloween. Almost everybody is dressed up. We're going to have spooky tunnel at 10:30 a.m. The sixth graders have made it for us. They will have scary music and they will be aloud to scare us.

Week 42

We started on the body this week. We made our own groups and got to chose witch body pert we wanted to work and research on. If anyone has an old big white shirt at home that they don't want then they can bring it in for a lab coat while we do our research. Ask your parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles.

In students choice ("Elevens val") we did flags for the UNday. We were a  lot  messy when we had a "vikarie" so Katarina, our Swedish teacher, took up the rules because some kids forgot the rules. Now we have green meens complete quiet, orange meens whisper and red meens low voices. We also had a  class room cleaning this Friday. Ella and Vera. Freja and Emma have fixed and sorted out the  pens. We  we're working hard so we get to listen to music on spotify!!!!!

Week 41

In gym on Monday we had a very funny obstacle coures for everyone. We got to make it ourselves.

In Swedish we made "nåjd trummor". First we cut out some paper, then we used a paint sponge to make a nice color. Then some people had time to put some nice signs on them. 

We have started with the human body and we have watched a film about stress and the ear. We also marked out on a paper all of the parts of the body we knew, both in Swedish and in English.

We also had a vote about how we should have the tables.

In woodwork we build model bridges and the bridges are supposed to hold ten kg. In sowing some people started crocheting but the most of them still are doing their sowing bags. 

On Thursday there wasn't any swimming and we had the last students' choice for the period. We get to make new choices soon.

 For homework we were supposed to make up our own holiday or celibration day.

We have also found a site called mathcats were there is really big numbers and a age canculator.

Some people in the class have learned a thing called the cup song.

Week 40

This week we in 4B have finished the commercial project and we have watched all of them.

In Swedish we were given a product to make a advertisement of. In English we made a tv ad for the product. It has been fun and a bit hard but mostly fun.

In gym we played a game called Harrry Potter. The rules are the following: 

There are two teams each one has half the playing space each.
You have a foam ball and you throw it att the other team.
If you get hit by it you have to sit down and you can't throw the ball.
Then there's a person who is Harry potter if he touches a person they can stand up and play again.
You can't run with the ball and you're hands and head are protection.
There is a goal keeper who protects a plint with three cones on. The goal keeper stands on mat and he has to stand on it and not the floor. On the the both sides there are rings two people from the opposit sides are in those rings. There mission is to shoot down the cones and they can't hit any one. Any one can hit down the cones and the first team to shoot down all the opponents cones wins.

 We have been att are fader (buddy) class 1B! We ate cinnamon buns and talked :)

                                                  This is 118 cinnamon buns.

We had a guess at how many buns were on the platter. It was a competion.  The teachers won They guessed 110 buns.

Week 39

This week we had gym we practiced high jump for the midlle grade olympics. 

In sewing students made bags.

In woodwork students made briges that had to hold 10kg. 

           

    This week the fotografer came to the school to take some school photos. 

We had middle School olympics.

This is the relay race and 4B won.

Gabriela and Isak showed us a trick with two books. They couldn't pull the two books apart.
